Halton Hills Quilters' Guild
ABOUT US
The Halton Hills Quilters' Guild was established in 1991 with only 8 members and now has a membership of approximately 50 people. Our members include quilters from beginner level up to experienced and expert level quilters.
In person meetings for Sept to June
excluding January, February & March when we
will return to zoom due to adverse weather
We meet on the 4th Monday of the month
(excluding July, Aug & Dec)
(unless holiday then the 5th Monday) at:
The Optimist Hall of Halton Hills, 13439 Highway 7, Georgetown ON L0P 1H0
We open at 6:30pm for signing in and socializing and the meeting begins at 7:00pm
Our program and workshop coordinators have, over the years, brought many exciting and innovative guests to stimulate our members with their trunk shows and workshops.
"Show and Share" is a regular part of each meeting. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned quilter, please bring along things you are working on or have completed. We are all lifelong learners and we enjoy seeing the work of others. This can be a time to celebrate your completed works, share a chuckle over an “oops”, or ask advice on how to proceed with an on-going project.
Other Guild activities may include:
• Round Robin
• Block of the Month
• Challenges
• Mysteries
• Row Quilts
• Postcard Exchange
• 50-50 Draw
• President’s Challenge
In addition to the guild organized activities, members often initiate other activities with like-minded members, including:
• Sew and Chat groups
• Outings to Quilt Shows
• Shopping Trips
Some of our members participate in Project Linus Canada for the Kitchener - Waterloo chapter. This activity is outside of the Guild.
